Rick practices in the areas of social security, disability, and personal injury at Klun Law Firm. He has practiced law for over 40 years and is licensed in Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska, as well as the U.S. Federal District Courts in Minnesota and Iowa. Rick has extensive experience in the fields of real estate, estate planning and probate, general civil litigation, family law and adoption, and basic family law mediation.
Rick strongly believes that the practice of law is a profession primarily dedicated to serving and helping clients resolve some of life’s more important and often difficult problems. The role of the attorney is to listen to and guide the client in analyzing and resolving the issues confronting the client. These are often highly personal matters, and mutual trust between client and attorney is of overriding importance to Rick in representing his client’s best interests.
Over his years of practice and civic involvement, Rick has served as president of his local county and district bar associations, as Chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Iowa Bar Association for 1993-94, and as Chairman of the County Board of Public Health in Mills County, Iowa from 1993 through 2014. In addition to his practice as an attorney, Rick is an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church since 2004.
